Etyeki Kúria Winery was established on Öreghegy (meaning Old Hill) in Etyeki in 1996. From the very beginning, the winery has become known for respecting tradition and embracing innovative thinking. As an important milestone in our history, they consider their leadership in planting the Pinot Noir variety for the production of red wine in this area. Our head winemaker, Sándor Mérész, joined our team fourteen years ago. Since then, he has been shaping the unique style of our wines, harmonizing local experience with the latest research and his own international approach. In recognition of his professional work, every year since 2013, Sándor has been one of the fifty nominees for the "Vinár vinárov" award in Hungary.
