The aroma of the Solaris is dominated by an explosion of tropical fruit, in which yellow melon, papaya, and grapefruit prevail. The taste is dominated by fresh citrus, complemented by a spicy acidity.

Solaris is a resistant grape variety developed in Germany, specially bred for colder climates and suitable for organic viticulture.

It is characterised by early ripening and is used to produce aromatic wines, often with hints of tropical fruit and a high sugar content, resulting in a higher alcohol content. It is gaining popularity especially in Northern European regions and is increasingly valued for its resistance and adaptability in the context of climate change.

Vinařství Volařík, Czechia

The Volařík family has been cultivating a love of wine since the Second World War, when the founder of the family tradition, Leopold Volařík, learned the art of viticulture and winemaking from German settlers. The founder of Vinařství Volařík, which entered the market under this name in 2007, is Ing. Miroslav Volarik. The winery now manages 80 ha of its own vineyards in the Mikulovská wine sub-region in integrated production, of which 4.2 ha are under organic farming. Through learning, humility, the selection of great experts and an unceasing love of wine, Vinařství Volařík managed to establish itself among the producers of the highest quality wine in the Czech Republic in a short time and reaps success at domestic and foreign competitions. Among the most prestigious awards in the Czech Republic are the Champion of the Valtic Wine Markets (the winery won it in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2021), the King of Wines for the best collection (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 20 20 ) and Winemaker of the Year 2011, 2014 and 2018.
