Medium lemon colour. The nose opens with white flowers of accacia, salted lemon, accacia honey, then gradually fruit aromas of yellow pear, crisp golden apple, ripe pineapple, candied ginger, perfumy lemon zest. The palate is equally complex, white flowers, ripe yet crisp yellow apple, and pear, juicy pineapple, a white pepper, evoking Margarita in the finish.

Zenit is an autochthonous Hungarian variety with early ripening, accumulating sugars easily. Manual harvest, followed by fermentation at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing for 6 months on fine lees.

Etyeki Kúria, Hungary

The Etyeki Kúria Winery was founded on the Öreghegy (meaning Old Hill) of Etyek in 1996. From the very beginning, winery has become known for both respecting traditions and adopting an innovative mindset. As an important milestone in our history, we were the first in the wine region to plant Pinot noir vines to make red wine. Our head winemaker, Sándor Mérész, joined our team fourteen years ago. Since then, he has been shaping the unique style of our wines, aligning local experiences with the latest research findings and his own international approach. In recognition of his professional work, Sándor has been one of the fifty nominees for the “Winemakers’ Winemaker” award in Hungary every year since 2013.
